About Me

Hi I’m Ingrid and I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I have been appropriately trained to meet their professional and ethical standards.

I have extensive experience of working within mental health charities and I have worked both individually and in groups to guide people through their mental health journey.  I currently work with families who are affected by someone else’s drug and alcohol use, offering one to one counselling and support as a counsellor and as a group facilitator.

I initially trained in Fine Art and I like to take a creative approach to life and also in the counselling journey.  I have a special interest in bringing creativity into the counselling room whether this is through using a sand tray or using stones to express your thoughts and feelings to create a way forward that is supportive, compassionate and at a pace and approach that is tailored to you.

Through my own personal experiences I discovered how important it is to have someone by your side to guide you through the challenging moments in your life offering you compassion in a non judgmental way that is in a safe and confidential space.

I am a down to earth and a well grounded counsellor with an easy going, genuine, honest and creative approach to life.
